The Find My network
Apple's Find My network rides on every iPhone in the wild — about a billion devices crowdsourcing locations for any tag that supports it. AirTag is native; a small group of third-party tags also join.

Find My is fully native on iOS 14.5+. Android phones can locate Find My tags only via a web app (no contribution to the network). Works best when the lost item passes near any Apple device.

Do I need a Apple device to use Find My?
Yes — Find My only works with Apple hardware as the host. Tags from third parties still rely on the Find My network to be located.
